Elders are called to occupy the sole office of governance and are called to teach, oversee, care for, and protect the flock entrusted to them by the Lord.

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to read through our church website. I pray that as you read and learn more about our church and our denomination that you would be encouraged and strengthened in the Lord, and in the confidence that He is coming back one day for His Church! What a glorious day that will be.
In a meanwhile, as we wait for His return, Christ has good works for us to do for the glory of His name!
I grew up in a Christian home and knew I wanted to be in full-time ministry in my early teens. In 2011 God called me to full-time missions and around 2018 I sensed that God would one day call me to full-time pastoral ministry. In 2020 I started studying theology and in 2023 I did a one year internship at another Sovereign Grace Church in Richmond, Virginia, USA. At the end of that year I was ordained as an Elder (Pastor) in Sovereign Grace churches and sent out to plant SGC Windhoek.
I could not imagine pastoring without my faithful bride, Lieze, who graciously married me in 2010. We also have two precious boys that the Lord has entrusted to us. Joshua (10) and Matthew (8).
Sovereign Grace Churches is a community of congregations. Membership is voluntary and the principles of elder rule and the autonomy of the local church are respected and encouraged.
Our governmental structure is representative and decentralized. Every pastor is a member of a Regional Assembly of Elders. Every church appoints a delegate to serve on the Council of Elders. In this way, all denominational authority is derived from and certified by our local church elderships.
As such we have a Global Leadership Team who are all active members of Sovereign Grace Churches. These men do not occupy a special church office but are recognized as having broad leadership gifting in particular areas. They serve a critical role in ensuring that we are led effectively in our shared mission.
They exist to serve the local churches that make up Sovereign Grace Churches and work only under the authority given them by the Council of Elders.
